Oxford

The University was founded in 1096 and is the oldest English speaking University in the world. The most Distinguished alumni are Prime Ministers, Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair, actor Hugh Grant and four time Olympic gold Medallist Matthew Pinsent. Oxford’s Botanic Gardens have existed for almost four centuries and any visit to Oxford wouldn’t be complete without trying a hand at “punting” in Oxford’s equivalent of a gondoler.

Bath is known for its Georgian Classical architecture and it’s development as a Roman City. The presence of hot springs and Limestone made it attractive to the Romans who Built it 400 years ago. The Roman Baths remain one of it’s most visited attractions.

Stonehenge

The first Stonehenge was Probably built around 3100 B.C. as round pits In the chalk. The second stage was in 2150 B.C. When some 82 bluestones were transported from South Wales. The third stage was about 2000 B.C. with the arrival of the Sarsen stones. The Final stage, as we see today, was in 1500 B.C. When other bluestones were arranged in a Horseshoe and circle.
